Hi! I wanted to let you all know that I have set up Google Classroom.  I will be inviting all students today.

Tuesday, April 14th

Hi all:) I hope you are doing well.

Please check through this page and make sure you have handed in all assignments.  Remember to send me all work as a Word document or cut and paste it into an email.

​

For this week, please read the next two chapters (11-12) of The Pigman. As you read, jot down any questions you have about the book (you can email them to me). 

​

Also, spend some time and make sure you have completed all assignments (including Castle Learning).  Many of you still need to do the Vocab Castle Learning assignments.

​

I hope you are all enjoying (or trying to enjoy) your time with your families.

Tuesday, April 7th

Good morning!  I am thinking of you all and hoping you are doing well.

​

Just a reminder - please send all work to me as either a Word document or cut and paste into an email.  I cannot open work done on Pages.  Some of you have done work on Pages and sent it to me.  I have responded to you to please resend it in a different format.  Please make sure to do so.

​

There are several of you who have not turned in your responses for Chapters 1-6 and Chapters 7-9 yet.  Please make sure to get those to me.  In addition, several of you still need to complete the Castle Learning vocab assignment. Let me know if you are having trouble completing anything, or if you have any questions.  I am here to help.

​

Assignments for Today - Read chapter 10 of The Pigman. Then, write me an email.  In your email write a paragraph in which you explain why Chapter 10 is an important chapter in the book.  Be specific in your explanation with reference to evidence from the chapter.  Write your paragraph in the actual email.  

​

I will also be assigning a Castle Learning vocab assignment for the Unit 2 words later today

For Tuesday: Please read chapter 9 of The Pigman, and complete the question sheet for chapters 7-9 on the Handouts page.  You can send them to me (by Tuesday night) as a Word document or take a picture of your work and email it to me, or cut and paste your responses into an email.

Hi everyone:)  I hope you are doing well and staying strong!  

​

Remember, you need to email me your responses for the questions on chapters 1-7 of The Pigman.  Please email them as a Word document or cut and paste your responses to an email.  You can also take a picture of your work and email that as well (if you wrote it by hand).  

​

For today, please read chapter 8 of The Pigman.  You don't have to do the diary entry.  

​

After reading, review the unit 1 vocab words (posted on the Handouts page) and complete the quiz assignment on Castle Learning.  This will be open until Thursday evening.

​

Hi everyone:)  I hope you are hanging in there. Please let me know if you are having any difficulty with any assignments or have questions. 

 

Please read chapter 7 of The Pigman.  You don't have to do a diary entry for chapter 7.  Instead, complete the questions on chapter 1-7.  The sheet is on the Handouts page.  I just want to see how you are doing with the book and what your thoughts are.  You can type your responses and email them to me at bkelson@roslynschools.org.  You can either email them as a Word doc or cut and paste your responses into the email.  Email them to me by Tuesday.  I also posted another set of vocab words for you to look at and read.

Hi students:) I hope you are all doing well. I know this is a difficult time for all.  Just remember, I am here to help you if you need anything. 

 

Some of you did not complete the Castle Learning assignments.  If you were having any computer difficulty, please let me know.   

 

For now, I will be assigning work on Tuesday and Thursday.  For today, please read chapters 5 and 6 of The Pigman, and complete your diary entries.  You can type your diary entries if you want to.  That might be better for you, and then it will be easier to send them to me if you need to.  Don't forget to label each entry.  I also posted vocabulary words for the book.  They are on the Handouts page.  Please read those over.

Hi students:) I hope you are all doing well and staying healthy.  Remember to complete the Castle Learning assignments by the end of the day tomorrow.  Also, I would like you to read chapters 3 and 4 of The Pigman by the end of the day Friday and complete your two diary entries for those chapters.  If you need another copy of the assignment, it is posted with the handouts on this website. If you have any questions or want to go over anything with me, you can email me at bkelson@roslynschools.org, and I will get back to you.  Speak to you soon!
